Nigeria Olympic team have now received their camp allowances for 22 days.
“The sports ministry has cleared all camp allowances of the Dream team in Rio, players and officials have now been paid 22 days allowances,” said team spokesman Timi Ebikagboro.
This means each player has now received $3,300 with coach Samson Siasia getting double that amount.
He also disclosed Etebo has been ruled out if tonight’s quarterfinal against Denmark, but will return should Nigeria advance to the semifinals.
Turkey-based Umar Aminu is expected to replace Etebo in the team's attack tonight as a result.
New Al Ahly signing Junior Ajayi has also been cleared to return to action after he was injured in training before the team’s final group game against Colombia.
