Wanjoku made the assertion in an interview in Isiokpo, ahead of the party’s rally in River’s East Senatorial District.
He said that the rally was to sensitise people at the grassroots to be vigilant and not be intimidated by the antics of their opponents.
“We are having the rally to sensitise our people that we are ready for the elections. We will tell our people not to be intimidated,” he said.
Wanjoku urged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to be fair to all parties so as to have free, fair and credible election in the constituency. The APC candidate decried the security challenges in the area and called on the Federal Government to intervene.
INEC had since postponed the conduct of the rerun polls scheduled for July 30, citing security challenges.
