Nigeria's medal hopes are beginning to get slimmer as top sprinter, Blessing Okagbare on Wednesday morning missed out on qualifying for the women’s 200m final at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

Okagbare, clocked 22.69secs in heat one of the semifinals finished fifth behind Holland’s Dafne Schippers, Jamaica’s Elaine Thompson, Britain’s Dina Asher-Smith and Germany’s Lisa Mayer.
Okagbere also crashed out of the 100m few days ago.
