Barcelona are on the brink of securing the signature of Paco Alcacer from Valencia, with the forward having completed a medical on Monday morning.
Luis Enrique’s side have spent much of August pursuing the Spain international attacker but appear to have finally got their man, Goal understands.
The 22-year-old attacker, who has scored 24 goals in the last two Primera Division campaigns, had been due to join up with the Spain national team but arrived late for their meeting due to his commitments with Barca.
The Catalan side will pay €30 million for the striker, with an additional €5m in reserve as potential bonuses for the selling club.
In addition, Munir El Haddadi is set to make the inverse move, although it is not clear yet whether that will be permanent or temporary.
It is expected that Alcacer, who will be presented next week, will go to Camp Nou to act as backup to Barcelona’s attacking trio of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar.
