“Despite our stiff opposition to this application (protection of witnesses), the honourable court for reasons best known to him, apparently not supported by any legal precedence or judicial authorities made a volte-face and strangely varied the order he made on the 19th day of February, 2016.

When did a people's preferred candidate losing an election against the preferred candidate of the majority becomes bondage? Under what hegemony was the country from 2010 to 2015? Or was he including his followers sleeping during that period and suddenly woke up now to realise there was an hegemony? You are simply bad losers? Were his people disallowed from casting their votes during elections? Do his people not have representatives in the NASS of the country? Don't we have his people in the FEC and Council of state? Are some of his people not sitting or even presiding on the bench of some of the courts of the land including the supreme court of the land? Are Dasuki and this Shiite leader who are Hausas not being held for offence against the state? Any Nigerian who feels his rights are violated against has access to legal redress irrespective of which part of the country he comes from.And Nigerians can support any such people against such violation but not on the basis of where he comes from. Is there any part of the law of the country that is discriminatory specifically against his people? A country where one of his people (Jonathan) contested,was voted by people from all sections of the country and was allowed to complete his legitimate tenure. When you have your people in every organ and agency of the govt of a country, is campaigning and instigating some of your misguided people against that govt the right way to legitimately and maturely press home your demand? Somebody just wants to make a name and feels that the best way to become an overnight hero is to engage in treason against the state but he cannot pay the price of that misguided heroism.
