The General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Pastor William Kumuyi has urged Nigerians to keep hope alive in God because Nigeria will become better.
Kumuyi made this known at a Special Sunday service organised by the church yesterday at the International Bible Training Centre, Ayobo, Lagos.
The programme had thousands of Christians from across the state, with the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Emmanuel Udom; and Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Justice Uwemedimo Nwoko present.
According to him, no matter the challenges, we need hope, and with hope, every thing will fall into place and Nigeria will become better.
He noted that the fight against corruption and other social upheavals begin with everyone and in our homes where righteousness, probity and godliness are given its pride of place.
He said “changes start with me and with you and when we all change for good, it will rub off on the country and we all will be better for it.
Earlier, Udom called on governments to rethink and provide strategies on diversification of the economy.
He said there is no developed nation that cannot feed its people. One step in development is the ability of the government to feed its people.
The cleric recalled that God did not create man until he created what he would eat, noting that there is so much we can get from the land.
He said we have viable lands and better climate conditions, thus a better and pragmatic framework on agriculture will help us revive our economy.
“I am the governor of one of the blessed states with good weather. We have a lot of cocoa, cassava, plantain, and our cocoa, cassava, plantain flavour is the best and we’ll make them more viable for the state”, he said.
He said agriculture was one of his five-point agenda, and it’s because of the need to look beyond oil.
While applauding Kumuyi in the promotion of peace and spiritual rejuvenation, he said “if we are praying this much and men of God sacrifice themselves for this country; I am sure, we will reach our promise land”.
He urged Nigerians to continue to pray for Nigeria because soon if we do not relent in our prayers we will sing a new song.
“I run the only state that is named after God. I pray for Akwa Ibom and Nigeria more than I pray for my children and I am sure God will answer our prayer”.
He added that we must shun corruption. Let us start with our individual lives. Telling lies is corruption because if you can tell lies, you can do anything. Let us have a sound structure to tackle corruption. Click to signup for FREE news updates, latest information and hottest gists everyday

Men of God and the way they support any establishment. Pharisees.
ReplyDeleteLol.Are these teachings bible based? Jesus preached that things will go from bad to worse and directed ppls hope to God's kingdom. Mat 24:4-14 and 2Tim 3:13 clearly shows that world conditions would worsen and as such his disciples should preach that the kingdom is near. Jesus had no ties with politics and politicians. We can recall his reply to Pilate. And when the Jews wanted to make him king, the book of jhn6:15 told us that Jesus fled. So where are these men of God getting their model from? Are they not supposed to be imitators of Christ?
