Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Blaise Matuidi with the intention of him replacing Paul Pogba who departed for Manchester United in a world-record transfer deal.
Matuidi, 29, is reported to have agreed terms on a four-year contract and the Italian champions are close to agreeing a fee of between €30-40 million with PSG for the France international.
PSG coach Unai Emery has previously insisted he wants Matuidi to stay, but was not able to guarantee that would definitely happen and with Mino Raiola now claimed to be working on brokering the transfer it may only be a matter of time before a deal is struck.
