The social media community literally went agog on Tuesday over the counsel of Pastor Adeboye to young men and women.
In his own reaction, a former Nigerian Prophet and Evangelist Minister at Windows of Heaven Revival Outreach, London, United Kingdom, Folayan Osekita has faulted Adeboye’s warnings, saying people have their different stories when it comes to marriage.
Posting on his Twitter handle @Osekita, the prophet uploaded a picture of his wife and wrote: “I’m not sure she can pray for 2 hours nonstop.
“29 years in a few days with my better half and I’m bearded.
“Lost job after marriage.”
It would be recalled that Pastor Adeboye’s message to men was: “Marry a prayer warrior! Don’t marry any girl who cannot pray for one hour non-stop. Don’t marry a girl who is lazy! If she is lazy when she is single, what will happen if she is married?”
His advice to women was: “Don’t marry a man who has no job. Before God gave Adam Eve, he gave him a job. He said, ‘This is the garden, keep it.’ So when anybody comes to you and say, ‘Sister, thus saith the Lord, you are going to be the star in my firmament,’ ask him — ‘What is your job?’”
He further stated that pastors growing beards are not worthy to be described as elders.

Just look at yourself. You said you lose your job after marriage, why didn't you go into the marriage without job? Please don't misquote the man of God. A man that can not provide for his family is worthless

ReplyDeleteYou people should stop twisting the advise of a man of God. It is not compulsory to be a pastor in RCCG and when he said all his pastors should not keep beard because he expected them to be different from other people or even ordinary members of the church, there should not be any headache about this as it is compulsory to be a pastor in RCCG. Please, note that something must definitely differentiate the people of God from all other people. "Let your light so shine before men, so that they may see your good works & glorify your father, which is in heaven". CHRISTIANS are the epistles that the world is reading right now, let your life talk about who you believe & serve. Stop criticising this great man of God, take what you need from what he said & leave the part that does not apply to you.

Must you react to Adeboye's admonition?No wonder you are said to be a former prophet.Do prophets in the Bible retire or were they ever former while still alive? If you are a former prophet what are you now? You proudly described your wife as not been able to pray for 2 hours, it is doubtful you too can pray for 30 minutes? That is why you have a worldwide ministry with signs following it? Did you read when Jesus said some demons would not go unless by prayer and fasting?When you lost your job are you just sitting down at home eating and sleeping without doing nothing? If so the Bible says you are worse than an infidel.Does having job necessarily mean working for salary? So you are proud that you are living on others, maybe worse still your wife.Did Adeboye say not wearing beard affects your spirituality? What happens to the saying that"the way you are dressed is the way you are addressed"
