A high court in Ondo State has stopped factional leader of the People’s Democratic Party, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff from conducting another governorship primary election in the state.
Justice Omolara Adejumo, who presided over the case, granted the restraining order on Monday.
The court recognised the primary already conducted by the Clement Faboyede-led state congress which produced Eyitayo Jegede as the PDP flagbearer in the upcoming elections in the state.
The state high court also ordered Jimoh Ibrahim, Chief Sola Ebiseeni, Bamiduro Dada, Niran Sule, and Abike from presenting themselves as aspirants in the proposed parallel primary.
