Nigeria’s table tennis star Aruna Quadri is staying positive even after suffering a blow out in his men’s singles quarter-final loss to world number one Ma Long late Tuesday at the Rio 2016 Olympics.
Ma may have dazzled to an emphatic 4-0 win but the Nigerian didn’t think much of it moments later, praising the Chinese superstar.
Despite a bright start by Quadri, Ma posted a dominant display, winning 11-4, 11-2, 11-6, 11-7.
“It didn’t go well tonight, I had a lot of difficulty receiving his service, he was stronger, faster, everything was just perfect about him,” Quadri told reporters in Rio.
“Ma Long is so much better, so much faster, everything is just perfect about him, his speed was just too much for me.”
