Chelsea are ready to spend a club-record fee to bring Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly to Stamford Bridge, according to reports.
Koulibaly has made 81 appearances for Napoli since making his debut for the Serie A outfit back in 2014 but the 25-year-old is now being linked with a move to the Premier League.
The Telegraph suggest Antonio Conte is prepared to splash a whopping £60million on the centre-back which raises doubts over the futures of John Terry and Gary Cahill.
It’s understood Conte could change his formation to include a back-three if Koulibaly signs on the dotted line before the summer transfer window closes on August 31.
Chelsea’s previous club-record transfer was that of Fernando Torres who joined the club for a fee of £50m from Liverpool in January of 2011.

A defender should not cost up to this amount. Midfielders do the real jobs.
