Besiktas have snapped up Nigeria defender Kenneth Omeruo on loan from Chelsea after both clubs finally agreed a €700,000 fee for the season-long switch, a report in Turkey claims.
According to cnnturk.com, the 22-year-old defender who has featured for Ado Den Haag, Middlesbrough and Kasimpasa will be available for a permanent switch for a fee of €4m next summer.
The defender who has spent the last three seasons on loan away from Stamford Bridge has been deemed surplus to requirements by new coach Antonio Conte who has also sanctioned the loan moves for Michael Hector, Betrand Traore and Kenedy.
Omeruo, a 2013 Africa Cup of Nations winner with the Super Eagles, was instrumental in Kasimpasa’s qualification for the Europa League last season.
Besiktas take on the newly promoted Alanyaspor for their opening game of the 2016-17 Turkish Super League season next weekend.
