Tennis legends make me nervous - Federer

Swiss tennis player Roger Federer has admitted he gets nervous when fellow tennis legends turn up to watch him play.

A string of celebrities including David Beckham and Bradley Cooper were in the Centre Court crowd on Wednesday as the seven-time Wimbledon winner fought back from two sets down to defeat Marin Cilic in a thrilling quarter-final.
But the Swiss insisted only other stars from the world of tennis make him nervous on court, not A-list celebrities such as footballer Beckham and Hollywood actor Cooper.
"I didn't see them before the match, didn't see them after the match, didn't speak to them before the match, didn't speak to them after the match. But it was nice to see them there," Federer said.
"At the end of the day today what makes me nervous is really legends of our sport. That's the only thing that still gets me nervous, when I see guys sitting watching my match.
"When I see them watching, I feel like I better play well. You don't want to disappoint legends of our sport."
Federer's defeat of Cilic in the last eight pits the 34-year-old against sixth seed Milos Raonic in the semi-finals on Friday and means he is now just two wins away from an 18th Grand Slam title.
The world No 3's quarter-final victory also means he is the first player to win 307 Grand Slam singles matches, breaking Martina Navratilova's all-time record.
