Veteran Nollywood actress, Bukky Ajayi, has been buried according to Islamic rites at the Atan Cemetary, Yaba Lagos.
The actress, whose career lasted more than three decades and included roles in hit soap The Village Headmaster, died on Wednesday morning aged 82.
She was buried amid tears, according to Islamic rites with members of her family, close relatives and some Nollywood stars in attendance.
“Mama lived a fulfilled life,” one of her sons told one of our correspondent over the phone.
Tributes have poured in from across the country for the actress, who had been honoured at had in March been honoured at the 2016 edition of the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards for her contribution to the development of Nigeria’s film industry.
