Premier League side Chelsea have not made any formal offer to purchase Ghanaian midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah from Juventus, despite speculation linking the player with a move to Stamford Bridge.
Gazzetta dello Sport reported last month that Chelsea had made contact with Juve over a possible move for the West African, with new manager Antonio Conte keen on bringing him to London.
However, GHANASoccernet reports that no formal offer has been made and Asamoah remains very much a part of Juve’s squad as they prepare for the 2016/17 season.
The 27-year-old Black Stars veteran has had a tough couple of years due to persistent injuries, but will be hoping to re-establish himself as a regular with the ‘Old Lady’ should he remain in Turin.
