A Nigerian lady who worked as a housemaid in Libya, Rashida Aybola, has been arrested by the police for allegedly stealing her employers' money running into 68,540 thousand dinars, (about N1.5 million), as well as gold jewelries including necklaces and chains.
The Tajoura Combating Crimes Office reports that Aybola was arrested following a complain lodged by her employers that she stole the items from a house she worked as a domestic help in the Abu Salim district, Tripoli, the capital of Libya.
The crime office added that Aybola had planned her robbery before hand and had allegedly added a sleeping pill the the drink she served her mistress which made her unconscious so that she could get away with the money and gold, which she put in a suitcase and then escaped.
Aybola was however apprehended by men of Tajoura Combating Crimes Office in Sooq Al-Jomua district in Tripoli, with the stolen money and gold, and she was brought back for questioning.
