Everton have been made aware that Manchester City are interested in signing defender John Stones this summer, according to Sky Sports.
The Toffees board does not want to sell the England centre-back, and it will take a bid of at least £50m to lure him away.
Stones - who has been away with the England squad at Euro 2016 - is due to report back for pre-season training on Monday.
Everton are not saying anything regarding his future and, with no offers registered, they expect Stones to join team-mates on Monday as scheduled.
However, we understand that Stones has made it clear to boss Ronald Koeman that he wishes to leave.
