Nigeria forward Odion Ighalo provided an assist on his third start for Watford this pre-season as they defeated German Bundesliga 2 side Union Berlin 3-1 in Austria on Tuesday.
Ighalo sent in a low cross for Etienne Capoue who fired in his side's opener after 13 minutes.
It was the Frenchman's second goal in his second start.
Troy Deeney doubled his side's lead in the 44th minute from the penalty spot after Abdoulaye Doucoure was fouled in the box.
Maximilian Thiel pulled one back for Union Berlin when he fired home from close range in the 70th minute of the game but an 83rd minute goal from Steven Berghuis sealed the Hornets' win.
Ighalo's compatriot Isaac Success did not feature in the encounter.
Success has made two substitute appearances for the club against Stevenage and Woking since making his record move to Vicarage Road this summer.
Also on Tuesday, Super Eagles defender Elderson Echiejile made his fourth appearance in pre-season for Monaco who suffered a 3-1 defeat against Zenit St. Petersburg at the Chailly Montreux Stadium..
Colombian forward Ramadel Falcao put Monaco ahead when he headed in Lemar's cross in the 31st minute of the encounter but a brace from Luka Djordjevic and another strike from Luka Djordjevic handed the French side their first defeat ahead of the UEFA Champions League third qualifying round clash against Fenerbahce.
Echiejile who has featured in all pre-season games for the Les Rouge made way for Benjamin Mendy in the 57th minute of the defeat.
