Super Eagles starlet Kelechi Iheanacho has tipped Manchester City to perform better than they did last season under new boss, Pep Guardiola.
The 19-year-old Nigerian international had a remarkable outing last term on a personal note, scoring 14 goals in 35 appearances – mostly as a substitute – as he was given a chance by former manager Manuel Pellegrini.
The Citizens finished a disappointing fourth in the Premier League last season but reached the semifinals of the Champions League under Pellegrini.
Iheanacho expects them to be better under Guardiola.
“We finished fourth last season (in the Premier League) but I think next season will be better especially with the new coach coming in,” he told the club’s in-house media outlet.
“I think the new coach will be good things to the team; a new dimension and I can’t wait.”
