Monaco have announced the signing of Italian goalkeeper Morgan de Sanctis on a one-year deal.
The 39-year-old has joined on a free transfer from Roma and will serve as back-up at Monaco to Croatian international Danijel Subasic.
De Sanctis, who has had spells with Juventus, Napoli, Sevilla and Galatasaray, has spent the last three seasons at Roma where he made almost 80 appearances.
The vice-president and CEO of Monaco, Vadim Vasilyev, said on the clubs official website: "We are very happy to welcome Morgan De Sanctis, who this season will provide AS Monaco with the benefit of his experience of the highest level."
The Italy international will head to Lausanne to join up with the first-team squad at their training camp on Wednesday.
"It's an honour to sign for AS Monaco, a big club in the French league. I'm looking forward to helping the team achieve its targets this season," De Sanctis said.
De Sanctis will join 21-year-old left-back Benjamin Mendy and Poland centre-back defender Kamil Glik as new signings.
Colombian striker Radamel Falcao has also returned to Monaco after two unsuccessful seasons on loan at Manchester United and Chelsea.
