BREAKING: Pro-Ekweremadu protest rocks Enugu against forgery allegations

The on-going trial of the Deputy Senate President, Chief Ike Ekweremadu, alongside Senate President Bukola Saraki has sparked protest in Enugu State.


According to reports, thousand of residents took to the streets on Saturday at Awgu, in Enugu West Senatorial Zone, demanding an end to “persecution of their son.”

The protest, which is on-going as at the time of filling this report, witnessed a mammoth crowd from many parts of the State.

  2. Sometimes i cannot imagine the hunger induced stupidity of some nigerian youths. You are rallying for a man whose case of criminal forgery is already in court. What possibly can you achieve in doing that? Will your efforts make the prosecutor to drop all charges? i think you guys have to be better than this.

  3. The leadership of the Fulani party apc headed by Oregon has come out clear to say that the ongoing crisis at the National Assembly is centred around Ekweremadu and not saraki. This is a brazen attack on his person just because of his party, his religion and where he comes from. If the Fulani party does not believe that a person from a particular religion or ethnicity or even party should be at the high table of the National Assembly, why don't allow the same people break away so as to develop on their own? The president, the AGN, SENATE president , house of reps. Head, everything is headed by Muslims, have you ever witnessed such in nigeria since independence? What Ekweremadu is being accused of is what your president has committed with his forged certificate and nobody is saying anything. Please spare us your shit.
