Premier League side Arsenal will ship out Nigeria U20 skipper Kelechi Nwakali overseas on loan, according to AfricanFootball.
Nwakali turned 18 last month and he will sign a five-year professional contract with the London Gunners after he would have led the Flying Eagles to qualify for next year’s U20 AFCON later this month.
“Nwakali is not in (Arsene) Wenger’s immediate plans and it will take some time before his application for a work permit is processed and so it is most likely he will be sent out on loan possibly to a club in Belgium,” a top source told AfricanFootball.
Nwakali was the MVP when Nigeria won a record fifth FIFA U17 World Cup in Chile in November.
Nigeria U17 teammate Samuel Chukwueze’s proposed move to join Nwakali at The Emirates has fallen through.

This guy still 18? Come and see Nigerian wonder Come and see Nigeria wonder! This guy, mere looking at him......not less than 25 years. I still remember Philip Osondo of the Canada under - 17 tourney fame. OK ooo! By the time small young boys who can play for even 3 hours with the same intensity stamina and vigour turn you up and down and run rings around you then you will realise the implication of .... Then no body will tell you to head for China to play at the age of 26 when ordinarily you are supposed to be at your best and peak.
