The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has reacted to the claim that Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti State cannot be investigated because of immunity currently being enjoyed by him.
The commission said that the immunity being enjoyed by any governor does not prevent the commission from investigating suspicious movements of money into his accounts.
The Spokesman for the EFCC, Wilson Uwujarenrevealed that the anti-graft agency has the right to investigate any governor whose account is being used to move funds.
“Immunity does not prevent EFCC from investigating suspicious accounts of those enjoying immunity and Fayose cannot be an exception, “the commission said. Click to signup for FREE news updates, latest information and hottest gists everyday

Powerfully corrupt legality. You are so blind to your witch hunting. You want to destroy democracy that brought you to limelight, tomorrow is not too far for you to be judged like power brokers of yesterday.
ReplyDeleteThis is the change we but for, why are you not saying anything when your corrupt party is leading us? Nonsense
DeleteSo investigating illegal or suspicious cash amounts to destroying democracy? Childish brain
DeleteWhy are you crying for Fayose, did you tell Fayose to pay Ekiti workers. Fayose said he doesn't even have money to fuel the generator in the Government house so why are you bothered about his empty bank account. You people should allow EFCC to do their job, that's why they are there. Everything thing is witch - hunting to you, let me tell you if you make yourself a witch, witch hunters will hunt you down bear that in mind. You people should stop supporting bad things in politics. Immunity of Governor and President has limits, check the 1999 constitution. Try and know what their immunity is talking about before comments.

DeleteWhy is Fayose unable to pay salaries? The answer is simple Fayemi who is a Minister in Buhari's regime borrowed so much during his regime that N1.5 billion is deducted from Ekiti State's federal allocation each month, leaving a balance that cannot cover salaries. These deductions will be made till 2036!! Nobody has asked Fayemi, what he spent the amount borrowed from! We haven't seen anything major he left in Ekiti State and that was why APC was voted out! Osun State is the same and now that APC has the Federal government they have gone a borrowing again to increase the budget from Jonathan's 4 trillion to 6 trillion by borrowing an additional 2 trilion, eventhough they are no longer paying for subsidy which PDP was paying. I see Nigeria going the Osun way unless the government is stopped from reckless spending and stealing the APC way. Look at all the States they controlled, they are all in serious debt that our children will still be paying!
DeleteThis immunity of a thing need to be reviewed and removed. It's being misused by majority of those having it.
ReplyDeleteNobody, no matter how highly placed, should be above the law at any particular point in time.

ReplyDeleteThis is selectively done
ReplyDeleteSelectively done? I am sure his bank account must have selectively received money. Lol
DeleteBecause you hates the present administration that's why it's selective to your mind. Do you want it to be randomly done.
ReplyDeleteIt's a pity how poor Nigerians support the looters and the looters never support the poor. Since he has the money in his personal account, why can't he pay the poor civil servants and probably collect his money back whenever the state gets money. He allows the civil servants to go hungry for five months now and he has money in his personal account and you fools are there supporting him, out of sentiments. Did you support Ekiti workers fool. I thought he said that he don't even have money to fuel his generato.
WWhat's your own in that Fayose pernal account, advice him to pay Ekiti workers.
