Former vice chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University, Prof. Ango Abdullahi has said, under the Nigerian Constitution, nobody can deny the Fulani herdsmen access to parts of the country.
According to Prof. Abdullahi, the Fulani herdsman is a businessman like any other business person, who should have free movement and free access to the resources that are available for him to run his business.
“And if for any reason, somebody in one section of this country will deny him access then we have to take measures to response to that. We are not saying that if a herdsman encroaches on a farm land . . . and this has been the tradition here for years; when they do some crops get damaged and an assessment is made and they pay. So why all the petty attitude?
“I see what is happening today as a new dimension to political and ethnic cleansing that if not carefully handled may lead to other big things. The Herdsman is a Nigerian his rights must be exercised as a Nigerian he has free movement like everybody else to pursue legitimate business and he cannot be denied access to any part of the country,” he added.

ONLY A MAD MAN WILL UTTER AND VOMIT THESE WORDS. ANGO ABDULLAHI IS A MORON TO SAY ALL THESE. SO HE IS ONE OF THE SPONSORS AND SUPPORTERS OF THE SO-CALLED FULANI HERDSMEN. CAN TIVS BEING FARMERS GO TO SOKOTO OR KATSINA AND HIJACK ANY LAND TO DO THEIR FARM WORK. CAN ANY IGBO BUSINESS MAN GO TO KANO OR BAUCHI STATES TO BUILD SHOPS JUST LIKE THAT. A CASE OF ONE SWEET PILL FOR SOME AND BITTER PILL FOR OTHERS. Jay 2, Abuja.
ReplyDeleteBusiness indeed prof! And who regulates this business and herdsmen. I think you are the business and it is people like yours truly that arm these killers to protect your business at all cost including precious human lives of women and children.
ReplyDeleteMy erudite Prof, can you please tell us of any business man in this country that goes about with his AK47? Tell us dear Prof if the North will tolerate any Igbo man who kidnaps a Fulani woman and rapes her. Plus all other heinous crimes committed by your Fulani herdsmen brothers...
ReplyDeletePlease how did he become a Professor? This are the kind of people that teach our graduates nonsense in the University and make them unemployable...Imagine the foolishness coming out of his mouth and now they will blame my Igbo brothers. Although I am Yoruba and love my Igbo brothers but when people who are suppose to be erudites put out injustice then it is expected. Someone from the north will say they own the oil blocks in the Niger Delta...It is so idiotic of a professor.
ReplyDeleteThis your statement is barbaric Prof.Ango, and it's sad that it's coming from a person of your caliber who headed dept.of agriculture and others as v.c.If I may ask is that what dept.of agriculture under your leadership taught students, that cows should be reared to destroy other peoples means of livelihood, what is ranches are created for in civilized nation?.It's clear from your statement that it is people like you that are giving these herdsmen courage to do what they are doing. If they can't create ranch for their cows let government create it in reserves and tax them for using it. Enough of this barbaric way of doing things.
ReplyDeleteI can now come to the conclusion that most if not all these Fulani/Hausa people no matter the level of their so called education, are blind, uncivilised and wicked with this statement credited to Ango.If a prof.could reason like a cow like this,I wonder how a herdsman should reason.
ReplyDeleteWhere did he get his professorship?
ReplyDeleteU see the type of Prof the North produce? These people are really pulling us backwards. Its now or never to go our separate ways.
ReplyDeleteMalo Prof indeed.
Dis man is really ridiculing himself all in d name of protecting marauders. Wat haass he ever said about d fulani mass slaughter of innocent ppl. Dat man must be feeding from his anus. Prof indeed.
ReplyDeleteIf I were God , I would have created this Northern professor Abdullahi a cow 🐄, so that by now he would have been slaughtered and his head will be good for cow 🐄 head , cow 🐄 tail , abodi , etc . maybe he got his professorship in normadic study that is cow 🐄 pushing . animalistic Northern professor .omo eran , isi ewu , akuya .sanu mumu .a big disgrace.
ReplyDeletehahahahahahahahaha, chai, i no fit shout o @ if i were god, would have created him a cow... hahahaha hehehehe hohohoho.....
DeleteI'm a typical Yoruba man but I will never allow allow encroachment on my land. They should stay up North where they belong. Did Constitution say Fulani herdmen should go around with AK47? Use your brain Prof. And stop being sentimental.
ReplyDeleteWe all belong to the same country , we do not have any other, the man in the North and the man in the South, West and East all belong to Nigeria and all contributing to the growth of Nigeria. My prayer is that God will help us to find amicable ways of settling our differences and live peaceful in God's given rich resource country.
ReplyDeleteWhen those who knew were saying this in the recent past that the Fulani man is evil, some people who could not see beyond their noses came out to talk trash. Now we are seeing them in their true colors since their elder brother became President.
ReplyDeleteEven before his present senility, Ango Abdullahi had been unstable. I recall when he once said that Niger Delta oil should be theirs because the rivers that produced it flow from up north, only settling in the Delta. As the VC of ABU, during IBB's regime, he was unable to keep the institution going without bloody riots and closure for one year straight. This is the calibre of scholar the northerners take advice from.
ReplyDeleteMy question however is: If Nigeria were not merged by that blockhead of Lord Lugard, would northerners violate another country's borders to feed their humpy cows? A right-thinking human should sometimes employ counter-factuality in responding to problems. It is time northern Nigerians wear their thinking caps and wean themselves off a parasitic existence!
Correct...
DeleteIf truly nigeria is one, this idiotic professorship should be revoked,I just imagining all the hausa utterances concerning this herdmen,no one has made a positive statement by condemning their miconduct like rape, Ak47,destroying of farm land.I just imagine the kind of specie brain that is ruling us.
ReplyDeleteSo that's why you bent on supplying them with AK47 assult rifle to finish anybody on their way, even when they're busy committing abormination such raping women infront of their husband while tying their husband by the tree, destroying crops and finaly what happened in Nimbo,Uzo-Uwani Local Govt.Area of Nsukka,Enugu-state the community spoke out then you brutally slaughtered them like cow. This is how you guys chose to run the affairs of the nation. How many beans, onions, tomatoe farms have you damaged in the North, only down in the East you'll come and exercise your diabolical rights. Shame on you all nomads in power!!!
ReplyDeleteIts sad the someone who is supposed to be father and a prof should be thinking this way.what about the man that rears pig and goats in other of the country ,did Government allocate greasing lands for them to do their business too?
ReplyDeleteThe farmer whose land you want government to give the Fulani man, what happen to him?
We will resist this evil, every Nigerian is an indigenous of a state, they should remain in their states of origin and do their offensive businesses.
We don't need their useless cow meat.
Its rubbish, destroying another man' s livelihood to promote another person's own.barbaric.
This country belong to all of us and no one is more special another person.
The fact the we even agreed to co exist with them they should be greatful
Can I enter any land I see and start a business or build a house or pluck fruits or even farm without authorization? No matter how desolate that land is, it is either owned by an individual or by government. These guys should get authorization from land owners first or they can buy land and build a ranch SHEKINA............. anything outside this is trespassing and illegal.
