Sheriff, who has continued to lay claim to the chairmanship of the party, had alleged last week that Makarfi and Senator Ben Obi, secretary of caretaker committee, are preparing ground for an APC chieftain ahead of the 2019 general elections.
But the committee in a statement by its spokesman, Prince Dayo Adeyeye, denied the allegation but said the committee is willing to receive any individual or group irrespective of their political dispositions.
The statement reads in part, “The public is kindly reminded to recall that it was barely two weeks ago the former chairman alleged that Senator Ahmed Makarfi is only pursuing his Presidential ambition and not concerned about the job given the Committee by the National Convention. Now, he has changed the story.
“The public is also kindly reminded that one of the problems that led to the removal of Senator Ali Modu Sheriff was attempting to convert himself from a 3 months chairman to not only a substantive chairman but the party’s presidential candidate for 2019. He went further to start offering running mate position to different individuals.
“It is also a fact that as soon as Senator Ali Modu Sheriff was appointed as chairman, many founding members of the Party left it. He is not lying you and the rest are preparing the stage for Atiku Abubakar.... Namely Obi, Ekweremadu, Saraki Melaye and a host of PDP and a wing of new PDP now in APC including the APC national chairman.... that is Y he was used by the group to call a meeting to distract the anti Saraki Senators same time when the plan to make Saraki Senate president so that b4 they return the game would be up! so please just shus!!!
ReplyDeleteIt is true, they are all working for Atiku Abubakar, Atiku planted Saraki and Ekweremadu, that is Y 40 minutes to when Saraki won as SP he was with Atiku, Ben Obi was Atiku VP when he contested for president and Makarfi virtually leaves with Atiku, Dino Melaye is like Atiku errand boy.... So Sheriff isn't wrong; AA is running the show in the two party and his presidential ambition plan is in top gear and would be running under PDP, but this revelation would bring up a lot of infighting I guess from now on, bc a lot of people hadn't any idea b4 now
ReplyDeleteBut sheriff is rejected by us in the party. Let him tell us who he is working for. Because i doubt if is for PDP. Please be reminded power belongs to the people. If the reject just go.
