He was seen praying fervently and singing praises in court.
Azibaola and his wife sang hymns when they alighted from a bus which conveyed them to court.
He held a Christian hymn book and the Bible, praying loudly.
The couple further sang praise songs as they entered the courtroom.
The “ritual” continued when they took their seats in the courtroom while waiting for the judge to arrive.
The couple were seen flipping through and reading the Bible, and would intermittently sing praises.
Azibaola is standing trial for alleged financial fraud and diversion of $40m through his company OnePlus Holdings Nigeria Limited.
He had been in EFCC detention since March 23.
The court subsequently ruled that he be remanded in Kuje Prison pending the determination of his bail application.
