Popular Nigerian singer and 'OLEKU' star, is currently facing a massive backlash after he advised a fan who tweeted at the him asking for money to pay for his school fees, to drop out of school.
The singer advised the fan who tweeted at him asking for money to pay for his school fees, to drop out of school.
The Twitter user had asked for the sum of N65,000, only to have Brymo respond, telling him to drop out and chase his dreams, as he had done.
Brymo replied:
"School is not for everyone. Just drop out and chase your dreams, it's what i did."

School is not for everyone. Just drop out and chase your dreams, it's what I did... https://t.co/V0C8ag0YfK— Olofo'ro (@BrymOlawale) June 4, 2016
Brymo further buttressed his point about misplaced priorities and the societies expectations that ultimately lead to pretense.
Sometimes I think about life, where I have come from, my failures and triumphs.. Its all a lesson, that i must unlearn and then learn again.— Olofo'ro (@BrymOlawale) June 4, 2016
In a world where failure is certain, and bridges are always burning. Why can't we all find heaven together, be everything to each other.— Olofo'ro (@BrymOlawale) June 4, 2016
Dropping out helped me find myself,it is why I am one of Nigeria's finest musicians of all time today.I can advice you to leave school.— Olofo'ro (@BrymOlawale) June 5, 2016
This is why there are so many schooled people and very few educated ones.Misplaced priorities is why society is struggling,we are pretending— Olofo'ro (@BrymOlawale) June 5, 2016
At least I learnt a new word today "advise" , thanks. But school is not for everyone, some of us must provide the content of your textbooks.— Olofo'ro (@BrymOlawale) June 5, 2016
Brymo's response got mixed reactions as is expected, seeing as chasing one's dreams is a great thing but at what cost?
Some fans where quick to point out that the singer should not have responded in that manner, stating that the funds the fan requested for was too small for him to advise on dropping out of school, while others applauded his blunt reply, adding that he had only spoken the truth.
