Poland reached the last eight of Euro 2016 after seeing off Switzerland in a penalty shootout, following a 1-1 draw in normal and extra time.
Adam Nawalka's side took the lead near the end of the first half when Jakub Blaszczykowski tucked away Kamil Grosicki's delivery at the far post but the match came more to life after half-time.
The Swiss pushed hard for an equaliser and were rewarded in style when Xherdan Shaqiri produced a moment of magic, his unbelievable bicycle kick levelling the scores with less than 10 minutes left of normal time.
It took the game into extra time but, though Switzerland put on the most pressure, both teams were visibly tired. The closest to a late winner came when Shaqiri picked out Eren Derdiyok breaking through the Polish defence but Lukasz Fabianski pulled off a superb save and it went to penalties - where a disastrous miss by Arsenal-bound Granit Xhaka was the difference in a Swiss loss.
