These two countries have been like magnets since Turkey famously beat the Czechs 3-2 in the final group game of Euro 2008, having been 2-0 down with only 15 minutes to go. They have met four times since, including in qualifying for this tournament, when the away side won on each occasion. There are also numerous members of the Czech squad who have gone onto to play in the Turkish top flight.
That result at Euro 2008 put the Turks through to the knockout stage, where they ultimately reached the semi-finals, whilst the Czechs headed home. They could both be on the first flight out this time around unless they get their act together following disappointing performances to date.
TEAM NEWS
Czech Republic will be without captain Tomas Rosicky after he suffered a tournament-ending thigh injury.
Borek Dockal may play if deemed fit after an ankle injury, while Milan Skoda and Tomas Necid are also options after both scored against Croatia.
Turkey head coach Fatih Terim is likely to make changes to the side beaten 3-0 by Spain.
Experienced midfielder Nuri Sahin could be recalled whilst teenage forward Emre Mor could make his first start.
GROUP D PERMUTATIONS
Czech Republic will take second place if they win and Croatia lose - and the margin of victory in either game is greater than one.
Regardless of whether they overtake Croatia, victory will give the Czechs four points - which is very likely to take them through (at least as one of the best third-placed teams).
Turkey must win and hope they go through as one of the best third-placed teams. Fail to win and they're out.
