Germany and Poland played out a 0-0 draw in their second Group C game in Paris on Wednesday.
The shared points eliminates Ukraine, who fell 2-0 to Northern Ireland earlier in the day, and ensures a top-three finish in the group for both teams.
The world champions dominated possession throughout the opening 45 minutes, but failed to turn their advantage into a goal as the half ended without either side registering a shot on target.
The second half started more brightly, with Poland's Arkadiusz Milik improbably heading wide from four yards representing the best clear chance. But neither team could find a goal before the final whistle.
Germany, now on four points, will play their final group game against Northern Ireland on Tuesday, June 21 in Paris.
Poland, also on four points, will face Ukraine in Marseille that same day.
