Enyimba To Throw Gates Open For Fans In Champions League Match Against Zamalek

Nigerian champions Enyimba have decided to offer free entry for fans in Sunday’s CAF Champions League Group B fixture against Egyptian giants Zamalek.

The game will be played at the Adokie Amiesimaka Stadium, Port Harcourt as the Peoples Elephant’s original home ground, Enyimba Sports Stadium, is undergoing renovation.

Also, it has been gathered that fans of the Peoples Elephant will also storm Port Harcourt in large numbers for the game.

“The management of the club in a bid to ensure the fans come out in large numbers to support the team have decided to thrown open the gates for the game against Zamalek,” the source revealed to reporters.

“We would have loved to have the game in Aba, but there is nothing we can do about that as the stadium is under renovation at the moment.

“It’s an important game for us and we have mobilized our fans to storm Port Harcourt in large numbers.”

Enyimba usually get a full house in Aba but have played to a largely an empty stadium in Port Harcourt, where they have played their Champions League matches.

Entente Setif of Algeria and South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns will clash in the other group game.
