White House hopeful Donald Trump vowed Monday to “suspend immigration” from nations with a “proven history” of terrorism against the US or other allies, one day after the deadly attack on a Florida nightclub.
“When I’m elected, I will suspend immigration from areas of the world where there is a proven history of terrorism against the United States, Europe or our allies, until we fully understand how to end these threats,” Trump said in New Hampshire.
“We cannot continue to allow thousands upon thousands of people to pour into our country, many of whom have the same thought process as this savage killer.”
Following Nigeria's battles with terrorism, the presidential hopeful is set to suspend immigration from Nigeria if elected president of the United States.
NigerianEye recalls that a Nigerian man, Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab popularly referred to as the "Underwear Bomber" was convicted of attempting to detonate plastic explosives hidden in his underwear while on board Northwest Airlines Flight 253, en route from Amsterdam to Detroit, Michigan, on Christmas Day, 2009.
Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) claimed to have organised the attack with Abdulmutallab; they said they supplied him with the bomb and trained him. Connections to Al-Qaeda and Anwar al-Awlaki have been found, although the latter denied ordering the man to do the bombing.
Abdulmutallab was convicted in a U.S. federal court of eight criminal counts, including attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction and attempted murder of 289 people. On February 16, 2012, he was sentenced to 4 life terms plus 50 years without parole.
In 2013, United States Government acknowleged the Boko Haram group in Nigeria as a global terror, and threat placed a $23 million ransom on Boko Haram leader, Abubakar Shekau and other commanders of the sect.

You guys put up some stupid headlines that will confus inferior minds.Trump said what's 100% correct he never mentioned Nigeria in any form.Stop admitting guilt when you are not yet accused of being guilty.
ReplyDeleteDid he mention Nigeria?
ReplyDeleteYour headline is even wrong.
Nigerians be wise because our media are also corrupt
ReplyDeleteVery corrupt
Deletevery very very corrupt
DeleteNE is against Trump just as they were against GEJ. Foolish enough. They now see how they help in misleading many Nigerians. To hell with you, Trump will win by God's grace.
ReplyDeleteGutter journalism
ReplyDeleteNE. Nigeria was not mentioned. Nigeria don't v history of terrorism against US n her allies. Moreover, who cares about Nigeria being stopped from US, nah HEAVEN!
ReplyDeleteDisgusting journalism. Imagine what the media is doing to the public!
ReplyDeleteThis is a most irresponsible journalism. Donald Trump made no mention of Nigeria. While Abdulmutalab did try to bomb a US plane, that country has never equated it to a general anti-US sentiment in Nigeria.Richard Reid, the so-called "Shoe Bomber" who had also tried to bomb a US-bound plane was a white Briton. Does that make UK one of the countries Trump would ban from immigration into the US? This is really shameful and preposterous journalism!
ReplyDeleteIf u r no wanted in USA, come to UAE( dubai).
ReplyDeleteI think NE needs to step back and re-invent itself. It is like they now recruit those who failed their degree exams in Journalism - or even those who dropped out of the degree programme altogether. I'm sure even Donald Trump would cringe at the headline of this story in NE.
ReplyDeleteI have no doubt in my mind that Donald Trump is the kind of man US needs at this time - and I hope he wins. He calls a spade a spade, and does not sugar-coat poison for political correctness.
What's wrong NE? Are fantastically stupid ?
ReplyDeleteNE,I adviced you people before to step up your game, but it's like you guys dnt listen to peoples advice and opinion...anyway,keep disgracing yourselves...yeye...
ReplyDeleteIts a pity dat majority of people dat comments here are either ethnocentric or are very uninform about the ongoing American political game.
ReplyDeleteI follow from the beginning till date d ongoing presidential primaries of both Republican and Democrat and to be candid with u Trump is not a presidential material though he may be rich but lack all d quality of an average American president.
If elected president of America which d percentage is very slim, he will create more enemies for Americans than friend and their by endangering d life of Americans.
Donald Trump has once mentioned Nigerians as part of those he will ban from entering America if elected president because of our record of fraudulent activities and corruption also terrism related history. So stop crucifying NE, they are right.
Trump is temperamentally unfit to hold a position of public trust
