Manuel Pellegrini has been offered the chance to stay with Manchester City.
The Sunday Mirror says he has turned down the chance to work with Pep Guardiola at Manchester City.
The 62-year-old Chilean was given his pick of the jobs within the City Football Group when it was announced in February that Guardiola would be succeeding him as boss this summer.
City have clubs in Australia, Japan and the United States, and are also looking to develop the CFG brand further in China and South America.
They wanted to tap into the expertise that Pellegrini has gained during a career that has seen him manage clubs in Chile, Argentina and Ecuador as well as Real Madrid, Villarreal and Malaga in Spain.
But Pellegrini wants to continue as a top-level manager – preferably in the Premier League.
