Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr Lawal Shehu, disclosed this to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lafia on Tuesday.
Shehu said that the election would hold in 51 polling units where results were cancelled in the first re-run held on Saturday.
The result of the exercise in the constituency was cancelled following reported cases of over-balloting.
“We are deploying so many policemen to prevent electoral violence and ensure smooth conduct of the polls,” he said.
Shehu warned security personnel against accompanying politicians to polling units.
He declared that the command would not hesitate to deal with any officer found at a polling unit, where he was not officially assigned to for election duty.
He assured voters of adequate security, and called on them to be orderly during the conduct of the polls to avoid clashing with security officials.
Shehu appealed to politicians to play the game by its rule to ensure a peaceful exercise.
