Pastor Adeboye declares ‘holy war’ on 'Killer Fulani herdsmen' and kidnappers

Angered by the growing violent crimes across the nation, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, declared ‘holy war’, when he led the congregation, at the May Holy Ghost Service, against kidnappers and killer-herdsmen.

Just before his sermon, held under the theme, Victorious Grace, Adeboye led the mammoth crowd, that included Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, to pray against the shedding of blood and kidnapping across the country.

“Our weapons of war are not carnal, but they are mighty for the pulling down of strongholds”, he said. And the congregation responded: “No more kidnapping; no more shedding of innocent blood all over the nation.”

The three prayer points, in apparent response to the menace of herdsmen and kidnapping, include: “Father, anyone planning to shed innocent blood, send down your fire to consume them all; Father, anyone who has kidnapped or is planning to kidnap as we are praying, set fire wherever he/she may be now. Enough is enough; Father, beginning from now, let things begin to get better in Nigeria!”

Adeboye, in his message, outlined some of the cardinal ingredients to attract victorious grace to include an insatiable desire to win souls for the kingdom.

Addressing the church’s army of workers, the General Overseer urged them specifically to intensify efforts to win more souls forGod’s Kingdom especially because the parish pastors have been mandated to increase their membership by 100 per cent or risk losing their jobs.

  1. Is it about number or quality? Afterall the 100℅ increase will include Robbers and Kidnappers. Some robbers and kidnappers are members of Redeemed Church, just like some rapists and treasury looters. Who know how much Osibanjo may be accused of looting when he leaves office. Make una continue to deceive una selves.

  4. You media people do know how to put words into people's mouths. Dont ritualists, armed robbers n boko haram still kill? Is it only the fulani herdsmen? Here you are saying Pastor Adeboye called for holy war against the fulani herdsmen (Buhari's perceived people) with Osibajo (his VP) present. What are you trying to do? Cause chaos btw them? God sees you,
it will pay you to change and do things without causing more problems

  5. I believe in prayer but heaven help those who help themselves.Joshua and David in the bible fought a lot of violent wars.We can just wish this away like we usually do in nigeria,we need to start arming ourselves and sending this herders in body bags.If u see a fulani herders with firearms when they should be with sticks and maybe knives(mercy killing of sick cows),then they should be shot on sight.A visitor can not visit my house with arms when he is neither a police officer, nor an army officer

  7. Why the noise? As enemies of peace, no doubt peace will be far from you whosoever you are. Our honourable man of God prayed as Holy Spirit directed and only Amen ! Is the answer. You would then be rewarded accordingly by God.
