Mesut Ozil has been named Arsenal's player of the season in a vote by Gunners fans.
Ozil had by far his best campaign as a Gunner in his third year at the club, and led the Premier League in assists and chances created.
Arsenal said the Germany international was the "overwhelming" winner in the annual vote, ahead of Alexis Sanchez in second and Hector Bellerin in third.
Ozil regularly dominated the midfield in the first half of the season, racking up 16 assists by New Year's as Arsenal entered January top of the Premier League.
His numbers dropped off in 2016, though, as his teammates struggled around him and Arsenal's title challenge imploded. He finished the campaign with 19 league assists, one shy of Thierry Henry's single-season record.
"Few will forget his performance in the 3-0 defeat of Manchester United in early October, nor his outstanding contribution during a golden period that took in victories against Bayern Munich, Everton and Swansea City as the Gunners moved to the top of the table," Arsenal said on their official website.
In total, Ozil played 45 games in all competitions, scoring eight goals and creating 171 chances for teammates with a passing accuracy of 85.7 percent.
He was still left out of the PFA's Team of the Year in favour of West Ham's Dimitri Payet and Tottenham's Dele Alli.
