Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole, has terminated the appointment of Mr. Abdul Oroh, as the state Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, with “immediate effect.”
It was, however, not clear whether the governor’s action was connected with the forthcoming governorship election.
But according to a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Mr. Peter Okhiria, on Monday evening, the commissioner was dropped “in the public interest.”
The governor said that Oroh’s removal was “with immediate effect” and thanked him for his invaluable services to the state.
He also wished him well in his future endeavours.
Meanwhile, Oshiomhole has approved the appointment of Mr. Kerry Emokpare as Commissioner-designate. Click to signup for FREE news updates, latest information and hottest gists everyday
