Quique Sanchez Flores will leave his post as manager of Watford at the end of the season.
The club have confirmed that the Spaniard will leave Vicarage Road after their final Premier League match of the season, at home to Sunderland on Sunday.
Flores , 51, became Hornets boss in June and garnered plaudits as his side impressed in the first months of the campaign.
With Odion Ighalo and Troy Deeney dovetailing to brilliant effect in attack, Watford cruised away frm the relegation picture and, for a time, lingered near the European places.
But the going has been tougher more recently, with just four league wins since Christmas. That has seen the club lose patience with Sanchez Flores.
A club statement read: "We would like to thank Quique.
"He and the team achieved the target set them at the start of the season of staying in the Premier League for a second year.
"Quique leaves with all our best wishes for the future and the knowledge he is always welcome at Vicarage Road."
