Flying Eagles will no longer depart Abuja for Calabar today as earlier planned.
Officials said that the team will now fly out to the southern coastal town on June 5 ahead of an U20 AFCON second round return leg match against Burundi.
The second leg is fixed for June 11 with the overall winners squaring up against Sudan in July for a place in the final tournament in Zambia next year.
The Flying Eagles led by coach Emmanuel Amuneke won the first leg 1-0 in Bujumbura.
No explanation was rendered for the change of the team’s travel plans, but it may again not be unconnected with the cash crunch facing the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
