Manchester United midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger is set to star in a new advert for iPhone app Clash of Kings.
The Germany captain hasn’t had much luck during his injury-ravaged first season in England, and is actually out injured just now, with his presence at the summer’s European Champions touch-and-go.
But the former Bayern Munich man seems to be making the most of his time on the sidelines, and seems to be making plenty of contacts away from football.
Schweinsteiger will play a king in the commercial, and urge people to dowload the game and get involved.
As you can see in the image above, the 31-year-old is resplendent in full royal war regalia, complete with a crown and sword. The ad itself is yet to released but we’ll bring it to you the second it is.
Who knows, with all these injuries mounting up, and Basti not getting any younger, perhaps a career in acting could be the next logical step.
