Manchester City's forward Kelechi Iheanacho has expressed his gratitude to his outgoing manager Manuel Pellegrini for giving him a chance to feature for the club.
Pellegrini promoted Iheanacho to City's star-studded senior squad at the beginning of the season after the Super Eagles starlet shone in pre-season.
Iheanacho, who gave Pellegrini a parting gift by scoring a goal in the coach's last game in charge of the club against Swansea, took to Twitter to wish him well.
"Huge thanks to Manuel Pellegrini. Thank you for believing in me.
"I wish you the very best for the future. Gracia's!" Iheanacho wrote via his handle @67Kelechi.
Iheanacho scored 14 goals in 36 appearances for Manchester City in his first senior season at the Ethiad Stadium.
Pep Guardiola will take over at the Etihad next season.
