I can vouch for Buhari, he will not steal Nigeria's money - Tinubu tells NLC

APC National Leader, Ahmed Bola Tinubu, has stated that he can vouch for President Muhammadu Buhari when it comes to managing Nigeria’s funds.

Speaking at the headquarters of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), on Friday, Tinubu said Buhari is an honest and straightforward person.

“Buhari is straightforward. We didn’t say we won’t have problems with him, but he has integrity.

“Buhari will listen to us‎, we will work together to make this change possible," he pleaded with the union, who had embarked on a nationwide strike.

“I can swear that Buhari will not touch a penny for personal gain. He has that character and integrity to steer Nigeria.

“Let us look at a new mechanism of doing things.

“Let us work together for a government that we know is honest. My mission here is for peace, for us to return to the negotiating table.

“Let us build Nigeria, let us make it the centre piece of Africa.

“Let us call off this strike. I c‎ome to beg on behalf of my party," Tinubu said.

The NLC had embarked on a strike after the federal government increased the pump price of petrol by 67% to N145 per litre.

    1. God bless you anon. If Buhari is a saint and a man of integrity as they all claim, we know what would have happened to all this allies including this one 'vouching' for him by now. They are all different grades of thieves and liars. If Buhari had started with apologies and confession to Nigerians about how he indulged them to loot the treasury to enthrone him, then I would believe in his integrity. Instead he claims his 'guys' are clean meaning he is not clean. Also Babangida's threat to him is another proof.
