Goodluck Jonathan Founded Niger Delta Avengers - Ex-Militants

The National Coalition of Niger Delta Ex-Agitators, NCNDE-A, has accused former President Goodluck Jonathan of founding the new militant group known as Niger Delta Avengers.

The NCNDE-A claimed that the group was formed in January last year ahead of the March 2015 presidential election, which Jonathan eventually lost to Muhammadu Buhari of the APC.

The National President of NCNDE-A, Israel Akpodoro, who made this shocking revelation in Abuja on Friday, urged the former President to call members of the self acclaimed Niger Delta Avengers, NDA, to order.

According to him, “the Niger Delta Avengers is a creation of the ex-president aimed at thwarting any efforts made by successive administration especially that of the President Muhammadu Buhari-led All Progressives Congress, APC, administration.”

He further revealed that the threat was planed at a well-attended meeting called at the instance of a governor from the South South region in January last year with all the prominent ex-militants including Jonathan and some of his close pals in attendance.

  1. Mr. Israel Akpodoro you might be correct in what you said bt lets look at it this way. if the former President GEJ had all this measures on ground, I doubt if he (GEJ) would have accepted the outcome of the election in good fate. I will advice you ensure that whatever allegations you level against somebody should be true as not to condemn the individual publicly because of political interest.

  2. When you see or read falsehood, you will know. This is the cheapest piece of blackmail I have ever read. I think the government is clutching at straws. They can do better than this. The more they try to tarnish Jonathan, the more he soars. The Americans and Europe went against him just because of his refusal over gay marriage and an African high command to be led by the homosexual US. He has lost, accepted defeat and gone home, it is highly unnecessary attacking him using such fools as the author of the able write up.

  3. I do not believe GEJ can do that but this should be investigated critically.

  4. PMB and APC looking for all possible means to indict the peace loving GEJ. It is quite unfortunate.

  7. Seems possible. With the reality of losing the elections to Buhari who had promised to fight corruption; GEJ could have planned this as his shield against any possible prosecution. And now with all corrupt suspects pointing at him as the authorising figure of all monies stolen, he has activated his avengers on us.
its not a coincidence that they say they were trained in eastern Europe, same place a number of ex militants were sent to for training, abi una don forget?

  10. I'm not surprised to hear Jonathan is sponsoring new militant group Avengers, because this militant claims to be responsible for bombing eagle square Abuja 2014, but Jonathan came out to denied it, that shows that he is protecting them. If he can protect them that means he can sponsored them. God protect Nigeria from enemies within.
