Former Cameroon international Samuel Eto’o has been rewarded with an impressive cash bonus of €250,000 after scoring his 20th goal in the Turkish Super Lig for Antalyaspor.
The Cameroonian veteran scored the only goal of the game on Sunday when his side claimed a home win over Konyaspor.
The result not only brought three points to the club, but also handed Eto’o a massive windfall, as he netted for the 20th time in the Turkish top flight for 2015/16.
The former Indomitable Lions player had a clause written into his contract when he signed for Antalyaspor last year that a tally of 20 goals would bring a €250,000 bonus, according to Cameroon-Concord.
Eto’o was written off as being past his prime when he joined Antalyaspor, but he has silenced his critics this season, with only German Mario Gomez managing more goals (24) in the Super Lig thus far.
