CCTV reveals the identity of woman who abducted 1-yr-old girl

A Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) installed at a supermarket in Abule Egba, has revealed the identity of a woman identified as "Mama Oyin", who allegedly kidnapped a one-year-old girl, Fehintola, after deceiving her mother with her interest in buying goods.

According to reports, Mama Oyin had visited Fehintola's mother at her shop in Abule Egba, asking for some items which were said to be unavailable.
Having charmed Fehintola's mother, she offered to take the child abductor to the market, where she can acquire the items she needed.

It was during this trip that the woman was able to steal the child, who was strapped to her back after she fell asleep.

The police are now in possession of the video footage showing Mama Oyin, who wore a black dress, dotted with white spots.
The family of Fehintola are quite devastated about the incident.
Lolade Oseni, the aunt of the missing girl revealed that all the information provided by Mama Oyin was fake.

This includes her home address, which she wrote down at a Church she visited with Fehintola's mother.

Oseni said, “Mama Oyin did not sleep in our house on Saturday and Sunday when she visited us. She went back to her supposed house when it was late. The address she left in our church which she followed us to on Sunday is also fake.

“We obtained the footage on Thursday. The police worked with the supermarket to release the video to us. We are hoping that our daughter will be safely rescued by the police. We have also gone to Eleweran, Abeokuta, Ogun State, to see the police authorities there.”
The Lagos State Police Command are working with its counter-parts in Ogun in a bid to locate Fehintola and her abductor.

SP Dolapo Badmos, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, revealed this while also advising parents to be wary of friends with unknown identities, as such cases of kidnapping are now common.
“The two commands are working together on the case. We are extending the investigation to Ogun State, around the Ijoko area. The CP has directed that the case be transferred to the SDCI, Yaba, for discreet investigation.

“Parents should beware of friends, and particularly friends that are not traceable, as we have been having cases of friends disappearing with children of their victims.”
