Buhari Urged to Sack Finance Minister; Put Dangote, Soludo in Charge of Nigeria's Economy

Dr. Frederick Fasehun, the National Chairman of the Unity Party of Nigeria (UPN), has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to constitute a fresh economic team to help him pull the country out of its current economic predicament.

“A review of the government’s Economic Team shows that it is made up of persons occupying their offices by nepotism and political expediency. Buhari’s current cabinet is an insult to Nigerian economic wizards at home and in the Diaspora," he said.

According to him, Nigeria's Economic Team should constitute Chief Olu Falae, former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Charles Soludo, former Governor of Central Bank (CBN), and Professor Pat Utomi, a developmental economist.

He also proposed such names as Chief Olu Falae, Mallam Adamu Ciroma, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Mrs. Nenadi Usman, Chief Isiaka Adeleke, Dr. Shamsudeen Usman, and Chief Frank Kokori, and others.
