When Nigerians especially the celebrities start thinking they are OYINBOS by Fleau

In the past few months I personally have had to ask questions about the behaviour of certain Nigerian celebrities and how they have found a way to justify such unprintable acts and still get to be seen as stars despite being unapologetic of their behaviour.

After all these years of being free from the white man it is a bit depressing to see our people act like they are being deprived of the opportunity to act white hence desperately choose to act in a way that is foreign to our culture in general. It’s only a matter of time before we start getting confused about what culture is ours and which one belongs to the oyinbo man.

That the P-Square brothers brought their dirty boxers out for public viewing is just a proof of the fact that international exposure can't totally prevent mental slavery. I think for a minute Peter Okoye thought he was Eminem who can just burst out about his family issues for the whole world to hear without caring about the clause “family secret stays in the family”.

That Wizkid could open his mouth to insult a woman he naturally should call Aunty makes me ask what happened to the culture of respecting elders in this country, I think Wizkid thinks his some kind of Chris Brown or so that can run his mouth as he wishes.

Davido was bold enough to speak back to his father’s age mate like he was talking to some child. It is behaviours like this that earn certain people a permanent spot on the watch list of their village witch.

That Davido could wear a jacket with the confederate flag beats me everytime I think about it, he could as well have won a padlock on his mouth.

Don't even get me started with Toyin Aimakhu who thinks she is Kim Kardashian in some type of way.

All these years of freedom from the white man yet still mentally enslaved. Is the gene of slavery that strong that it must have passed down from certain people’s fore fathers to them?

So this is it
  •   It is not okay for Wizkid to insult Linda Ikeji or anyone who is way older publicly. I mean you won’t dare insult you own aunty or an older person publicly no matter how wrong he/she might have being. That’s what culture says. You bottle down whatever they did and get back to them in a respectable manner. You are a Yoruba boy, you probably would have had to prostrate by now to say how sorry you are if you tried this with an older person in your home.
  • Its not okay that Peter brought his family wahala to the public even though it was business related, even the white man knows that what happens in Vegas stays the heck in Vegas. So what happens in your home stays there. Oh brother Peter tell me how would you feel if 15 years down the line your son decides to bring  a fight with your daughter to the public.
  • It is not okay that Toyin Aimakhu treated her marital issues like some publicity stunt. It is not even normal for a married woman who only just got divorced to throw her new relationship in the face of the public. What are you Kim Kardashian?
  • It is not okay that one human being who by mistake had access to data went online to call a celebrity’s mum ugly. How dare you even insult an older person? In real life would you have being able to call anyone let alone someone old enough to be you mother ugly to her face? What are you? A bus conductor , an agbero or just another brat with no home training.
  • It is not okay that some being went on to Kate Henshaw’s page to  insult her then went in private to apologise. Who does that? You can’t just run your mouth anyhow men. This sort of things get people killed on the street

Our culture has taught us to be confident but respectable, opinionated but not abusive, free spirited but not stupid. So the idea of you suffering from diarrhea of the mouth or hand is just unacceptable especially if you are a celebrity.

At the end of the day all I am saying is quit being foreign with all your attitude especially you Mr & Mrs Celebrity. Oh you think Dbanj doesn’t want to insult Don Jazzy, or wait you think Tuface didn’t want to break Black Face’s head that year. Don’t let your current fame be the end of you.

I mean if you want to pick up a colonial habit, pick the good one, pick the humanitarian one, pick the one where Lady gag buys pizza for all her fans, where Justin Bieber has a meet and greet, where they visit their sick fans in the hospital, where you don’t come online to insult the people that gave you the stardom, where you don’t come online to be a brat. Even Kim Kardashian understands the power of positive online pr you should learn that sometimes.

You are suppose to be a role model, quit being a Grinch men.

Until then I am just going to head back to my writing chair and observe
