The federal government is investigating Switzerland’s Ambassador to Nigeria, Eric Mayooraz, after it was alleged that he brought his gay partner with him to Nigeria.
According to reports, Mayooraz who was posted to Nigeria last year to head the Swiss mission, allegedly arrived the country in company of his gay partner, a Brazilian whose name was given simply as Carlos.
Speaking on the investigation, Spokesperson of the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Akinremi Bolaji, said, “We are aware of the development and have started investigation. It is either they have deceived us because we would never have allowed such a person to enter the country if we were aware before now. We have a law, which must be obeyed by all. If we find him culpable, he will be made to face the full wrath of the law.”

Should a Nigerian person brakes the law of the land he or she will face the law so if the so called ambassador has brakes the law he should also face the law full time in Nigeria that is 14years as stated by the law of the land. Him and his partner ho ha!

ReplyDeleteHe should be tried and jailed .
ReplyDeleteAs long as he does not present him officially, the Ambassador has no case to answer. Embassy premises are inviolable, otherwise Julian Asange would have been arrested by the Brits in London. Worst case scenario is that the Ambassador will be called for questioning. What he does in his Embassy is not for public scrutiny. Educate yourselves with the Vienna Convention/Protocol.
ReplyDeleteHis body, his choice, his life. Who is he harming, no one but him. Is like one taking his girlfriend or wife with him while travelling. Am sick of seeing people acting as if is only homosexual that's a sin. Greed, Lies, Fornication, Adultery are what every Nigerian practice each day and let me tell you, is equal punishment in the eyes of God. Our goal right now should be to run our own race and leave God to do his judgement on homosexuals. Why are we trying to do God's job for him by judging how other's live their body. Is should not be our problems please. First start to work on yourself by learning how to be honest in everyday of your life and activities before judging others.

ReplyDeleteSend that homo away before investigation. Delay is risky.
ReplyDeleteSimply put, what he is saying that he is not covered by Nigeria's laws. Then he should leave without any investigation. More than that he should be punished for daring our law.Fourteen years behind the bar.
