The governor who is also Chairman of the Northern Nigeria Governors’ Forum, gave the warning during the visit of a team from the United Nations led by its resident coordinator in Nigeria, Ms. Fatma Samoura. “The signals are there all over, the North is going to be inhabited by over 70 percent of Nigeria in 2050 when the nation’s population is expected to be the third largest in the world with over 400 million people.

Please divide the country so we can manage ourselves better and be more accountable. The Niger delta cannot continue to carry everybody else's baggage as it is making us produce bad leadership. If we keep on like this we are doomed.

ReplyDeleteThis is a very irresponsible statement coming from a governor of a state. It shows that the Northern elites are the problem of the region. He sounds as if he does not even feel that Book Haram has done any serious havoc
ReplyDeleteDo you blame him when he lives in a coosy and posh houses and drives around with a battalion of security guards . If he had lived in an IDP he won't be making this useless utterances. It shows that he has no interest of the people at heart.I won't be surprised if most of the children are in abroad.
