Popular Nigerian cancer patient, Debbie Osarere Idiagbonya, has now lost her prolonged battle with cancer, today, April 1, 2016.
Debbie who has spent years battling breast, liver and bone cancer had been on her way to recovery with further treatments facilitated by rigorous fund raising on her behalf.
The young lady who had quickly become a beacon of hope to others struggling with the disease through her faith and enthusiasm, will be missed dearly.
Debbie has been living with stage 4 invasive ductal carcinoma since 2012. She’s been in the US, where she was receiving treatments at Howard University Teaching Hospital.
She went on remission between April-September 2014 before the cancer resurfaced and she started a fresh treatment of chemotheraphy. Before she died, her cancer metasized to the bone and skull wall which affected her lungs from functioning well.
Already, some Nigerian celebrities like Adekunle Gold, ID Cabasa, Osi, most of who campaigned for her during the #KeepDebbieAlive project, have all started mourning her demise.
